Two graphs about outcomes

This week, the SC Department of Education released the 2023 SC School Report Cards, and Riverwalk Academy received the highest score out of all schools in the surrounding area.

The report cards contain a variety of indicators, such as overall performance on State Assessments (SC Ready, SC PASS, EOC) and students exceeding their State Assessments growth targets.  As the school previously reported, 3rd - 8th grade students at Riverwalk Academy showed tremendous growth from previous years, and most grade levels either met or exceeded the performance of the surrounding districts and State.

Dr. Robert Compton, Head of School, said, “I’m ecstatic about the performance and growth of our students.  Our staff was relentless last year as our teachers made it their mission to improve our instructional programming.  We focused on making sure our instruction  and assessments were aligned to grade-level standards, and we ensured that our students were challenged by increasing our depth of knowledge expectations.”
