They consistently maintain a positive attitude and readily support both staff and students. By prioritizing our students, they make a significant impact on our campus and in our community every day. Their actions demonstrate a deep commitment to our school culture and reflect the respect they show to everyone around them.
We want to congratulate Ms. Puckett, Mr. Huggins, and Ms. Johnston for being selected as our January Staff Members of the Month! We greatly appreciate the time and energy they give to our Pride. These teachers demonstrate our Core Commitments at Riverwalk Academy!
Ms.Puckett, a 1st Grade Teacher, was nominated by several parents who had this to say:
Ms. Puckett is amazing, she is committed to her team and her classroom. She has innovative ideas and implements them within her classroom. She brings so much to Riverwalk and 1st grade wouldn't be the same without her!
Mrs Puckett is committed to making sure her students succeed even after they leave her classroom. She dedicates time to tutor my daughter several days a week after spending a full work day with her class. I'm sure she would rather spend her afternoons with her family or just relaxing after a long day, but she wants to make sure every child is as successful as possible. We are so thankful for the time and love she continues to pour into her students.
Mr. Huggins, a middle school teacher, was nominated by a student who said this about him...
I believe that Mr. Huggins should be Riverwalk Academy Staff Member of the Month because he has shown hard work and dedication through his teaching. He cares for his students and their education, and is always there to help them. Mr. Huggins has inspired me to learn more about the history of my home state. I love being in Mr. Huggins class because everyday when I go to his class, his lessons and his personality make me smile and they brighten my day.
Ms. Johnston, a high school teacher, was nominated by a parent who said the following about her:
She makes sure our Rivertech kids get to and from school safely. We greatly appreciate her and all the kids love her!
