February is here, so it's time to announce our Staff Members of the Month!
These individuals keep a positive attitude and are always willing to lend a hand to help our staff and students. Each one of these staff members represents our Riverwalk PRIDE, and we are so thankful for the impact they are making on our community.
We would like to congratulate Ms. Genica, Ms. Stovall, and Ms. Slifer for being selected as our February Staff Members of the Month! We greatly appreciate the time and energy they give to our Pride.
Ms. Genica, Elementary Special Education
Genica was nominated by a colleague who said:
"Ms. Genica has done such a great job creating a safe and productive environment for her students. She has taken the time to provide materials that meet their needs and abilities. She models and expects respect and consistency in the classroom. She is a true asset to the RWA family!"
Ms. Stovall, 8th Grade Math
Stovall was nominated by a student who said:
"Ms. Stovall has helped me through so much. She takes her role as teacher to next level. Not only does she teach me math, she also teaches me life lessons. She has helped me through all of my problems, even if I was in the wrong. She will help me at any time of the day, even out of school. I love her so much and I know she loves me too. She definitely deserves to be staff member of the month or at least see this paragraph."
Ms. Slifer, HS Special Education
Slifer was nominated by a colleague who said:
"Mrs. Slifer is an integral part of the teaching team on the York Tech Campus. She is often helping students one on one during class, on her planning, and after school. She is constantly looking for ways to improve her craft so her students can be more successful."
